Jon GarnierFinance Director
Jon is Finance Director for John Good Logistics, and Chief Financial Officer for The John Good Group. With over 30 years’ experience in finance and accounting, Jon joined the business in 2003 to oversee all aspects of John Good’s finance function. Jon gained ten years’ experience as a professional auditor, before working in the drinks, distribution and shipping industries, which gives him a unique insight into the needs of the industries our customers operate in. Jon leads a dedicated and loyal finance team who are motivated to provide a service second to none.
Paul FergusonHead of Sales
Paul is John Good’s Head of Sales and leads our sales, account management and marketing teams. Paul joined John Good in 2003 and has worked in a number of roles which have given him an in-depth understanding of our operations and how our solutions help solve the problems faced by our customers. Paul is passionate about technology and always on the lookout for new and innovative ways to delight our customers.
Pete FitzgeraldHead of Freight Forwarding North
With over 21 years’ experience in the shipping and logistics industry, Pete brings a significant amount of knowledge to our Leadership Team. After working in major freight forwarding companies such as DFDS and TDG, in 2003 Pete founded his own freight forwarding business, CBI Transportation UK, which John Good later acquired.
Pete joined the John Good Logistics Leadership Team in 2012 and is responsible for obtaining competitive and reliable contracts from suppliers and shipping lines, which is crucial to ensure our services remain cost effective. Pete is an expert in Mediterranean-UK and the Far East-UK trade as well as emerging markets and is passionate about customer service and ‘going the extra mile’ for our customers.
Stuart GoslingHead of Freight Forwarding South
Stuart has over 30 years’ experience in shipping, transport and warehousing and is responsible for our warehousing and distribution services. After joining the business in 2007, Stuart has been instrumental in developing our market-leading warehouse management systems, while ensuring we achieved and maintain industry accreditations such as BRC (British Retail Consortium) and AEO (Authorised Economic Operator), which are testament to Stuart’s commitment to delivering professional services of the highest standards.
Stuart is passionate about continual improvement, and it’s his constant desire to do things better that ensures our customers benefit from reduced costs, a more efficient supply chain, reduced carbon footprint and cost-effective logistics and distribution.

Emma joined the business in 2016, with extensive experience in shipping and manufacturing, a background in Unionised environments, and expertise in employee relations and organisational change. Mark joined the business in 2015 and has experience in finance, commercial and business support management, having previously worked for a range of businesses and sectors, across all key stages of the business life-cycle, including start-ups, organic growth and acquisitive growth. Mark leads a fantastic team of accounts professionals, implementing, developing and controlling sustainable financial reporting and control processes.
Barry ClarksonHead of IT
Barry joined the Leadership Team in 2019. He is responsible for leading our IT Strategy, and providing technology leadership and vision for all areas of the business. With over 30 years of experience in systems development, integration and implementation along with a strong background in strategic leadership, his extensive knowledge is a huge asset to the business as we move into a phase of focused digital development and growth.
